What are your payment options?
We are happy to discuss our fees with you when you call the clinic. At Speech Therapy Toronto, our clients are billed directly on a per session basis. Our services are not covered by OHIP, however, many clients carry health care plans that cover some, or all of the cost of private speech therapy. Clients should check with their insurance company to know how much treatment will be covered.
How long will it take to fix the speech and language problem?
The length of treatment depends on the client’s age, goals, and willingness to practice outside of therapy. We expect that the whole family will help support the client in the therapy process. Home programming is always provided to help the client practice. Commitment, attendance, and home practice are important factors in overall success.
When should I be concerned?
In the Services for Children and Services for Adults sections, we have outlined the areas of concern for potential speech and language difficulties.
What are your appointment times?
We have flexible times available during the daytime, after school, evenings and on weekends.
Is there a waiting list for service?
Wait times vary depending on your schedule. We are often able to get clients into the clinic within a week of the first phone call.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
Clients can call the clinic directly to book an appointment. You do not need to be referred by a doctor unless required for insurance purposes.
